Our best friend

Our daughter mia,who was 4 at the time, desperately wanted a kitten. We found what sounded like a lovely family whose cat hat just had kittens and went to see them one day after school. Mia had no idea as we had snuck a cat carrier in the boot of the car.
As we entered the house mias face was filled with glee, she was so excited-having so much fun playing with the kittens. The family said there's one missing, I know where he will be, he will be asleep in the window. To which he was , I took one look and held him , he wouldn't let me go. Mia saw him and said this one mummy. We placed him in the cat carrier put him in the car next to Mia, who had by this time strapped the cat carrier in with a seat belt.
She sat in her seat and all the way home was reassuring him that it wasn't too far home. Then she announced he was to be called frankie jnr after her favourite stock car driver.
As so frankie jnr was part of our family. Unfortunately, I was told I couldn't have any more children due to a heart condition so, frankie is my furbaby. Mia is now 15 and frankie 11 and they are still best buddies. He helps her with her homework and he has been in numerous stories that she has had to write.
He is definitely our best friend.
