Love at first sight

During the time of 2017BC, Before cat,
A new house was purchased and it wasn't a flat.
The house felt empty and a little bit boring
So we started looking for a companion that very morning.
KitKat was her name from cats protection,
The best birthday present I could imagine.
Fattykatty as she would be later named,
Wanted a friend and life wouldn't be the same
We met Loki and wasn't she small! Tiny legs, paws and that wasn't all.
She had had a tough start in her first 10 months,
She had lots of love to give and I had a hunch
That her and KitKat, best friends they would become,
And that they would just have the best of fun!

KitKat was 1 1/2 when she was adopted. She had been in cats protection since she was a kitten, her foster carer said she was too needy to be adopted. However that's what I wanted in a cat and she gives the best cuddles! She knows paw, lie down, beg and sits when she wants to. She is now 5 and just the sweetest girl, mildly obsessed with the neighbours cat who she sees through the window.

Loki had an awful start. She was 10 months when adopted but already had a kitten. She is the size of a 4 month old kitten and is 4 in August. She was found in a drugs den with dozens of other cats. I saw her online and fell in love and knew KitKat would love her.

Both of them snuggle on the sofa, walk around the house together and sprint around playing all day.

We wouldn't go a day without them. They have made our life's richer and happier, best decision ever to adopt them.
